Pay & Working Hours
Rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but you can also work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) if you wish.
Availability windows
* Wednesday: 18:00 – 22:00
* Thursday: 19:00 – 23:00
* Friday: 19:00 – 23:00
* Saturday: 18:00 – 22:00
Responsibilities
* Ensure the van and trays are clean and kept tidy/organised.
* Leave the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish; pick up litter as you see it.
* Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
* Load the van as required and check the van for roadworthiness.
* Talk to the customer about any changes to their order, including short‑code items and substitutions, offering a refund if they are unhappy.
* Take care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
* Explain to the customer that they will not be charged any more for their substitutions.
* Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
* Call the customer before arriving at their property if early.
* Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
* Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to say thank you.
* Respond quickly to the changing needs of customers and embrace change within your store.
* Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve the right balance.
* Share ideas with your manager and other colleagues on how to improve your store for customers.
* Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
