Description We are offering a unique opportunity to join the EDF Project Controls Resource Framework, supporting the groundbreaking defueling and decommissioning of the UK’s Advanced Gas-cooled Reactor (AGR) nuclear power stations. As a Junior Document Controller, you will provide essential document control and administrative support to the Strategic Spares Team. Your role will involve implementing and maintaining document management systems, ensuring accurate distribution of documentation, and supporting compliance with EDF Energy’s standards and procedures. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong communication and collaboration, helping to ensure the smooth flow of information across the project. (Minimum 3 years residence in UK). LI-MF1 Responsibilities As a Junior Document Controller, you will learn how to carry out the following tasks with support and guidance: Provide an administrative support service to the Strategic Spares Manager. Application of document control processes and maintaining the flow of documents and important information within the team. Provision of advice and information to ensure team members are compliant with the document management system, processes and procedures with respect to the control, storage and retrieval of information. Maintain issue and distribute controlled copies of information, keeping up to date records of all information and ensuring that it is available to the team. As required by the Project Managers, logging of incoming and outgoing documents and producing and issuing document transmittals to provide an auditable trail for all documentation produced by the team and third parties using the company procedures and systems. Ensuring correct referencing of documents Establishing and maintaining files and computerised indexes for strategic spares documents. Generate electronic/hardcopy reports as needed by the team As required uploading / downloading, copying and printing of incoming and outgoing project documents and drawings Liaison with the team, the centre/station document centre and the drawing office with respect to queries regarding issue of information and document storage. Check information on documents for conformance with status and format in accordance with procedures. Assisting Project Managers in maintaining a compliant and organised document filing structure in electronic format. Preparation of project documentation at close out of projects and documentation for archive, in either hard copy or electronic format as required. Qualifications Essential MS Office skills and well versed in the preparation of reports and information using packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. High level of numeracy and analytical skills Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills working in a team environment Exhibits awareness of the level of interaction required with the project team function to support the successful delivery of projects Desirable Previous experience of Document Control role Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment Familiarity with project documentation management in engineering or construction environments. Basic knowledge of quality assurance and compliance processes. Awareness of nuclear industry protocols or regulated environments (advantageous but not essential)
