Octavius Infrastructure is looking for an Electrification & Plant Site Manager to join our Southern Renewals Enterprise team. You will oversee the delivery of electrification and plant renewals across the Southern region and lead a team of technicians and operatives.
Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate, and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrification and plant assets, such as overhead line equipment, power supply systems, signalling power, and lighting.
* Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the design specifications, standards, and procedures.
* Monitor and report on the progress, performance, and quality of the works, and implement corrective actions as required.
* Manage and maintain the electrification and plant asset register, and ensure that all records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
* Provide technical support and guidance to the project team and subcontractors, and resolve any issues or queries that arise.
* Manage and develop the skills and competencies of the electrification and plant staff, and conduct regular appraisals and reviews.
* Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental requirements are met, and promote a positive safety culture within the team.
* Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with the project manager, the client, the suppliers, and other stakeholders.

You’ll bring
* HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* SSSTS or SMSTS competent & 18th Edition.
* Experience in electrification and plant supervision and management in the rail industry.
* Knowledge of working on High Voltage (HV) Feeders and associated equipment.
* Excellent knowledge of electrification and plant standards, regulations, and best practices.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Good level of programming and Conditions of contract (NEC, ICE, etc.) knowledge.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
* Full UK driving license.
