Cluster Night Team Leader
Location: London Central Cluster
Hours and Rota: 42.5 hours per week.
Cluster Night Team Leaders work 5 night shifts out of 7, between the hours of 10:00pm and 07:00am. Shift pattern variations may apply.
Salary: In the region of £37,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus bonus and benefits
Essential: Experience as a Line Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader

We are Unite Students, a progressive FTSE 100 company, and the leading provider of purpose-built student accommodation in the UK, and we are looking for people with positive attitudes and a caring nature, to join our Customer Operations Team as a Cluster Night Team Leader and help us provide outstanding service to the students who live with us.
You will be leading from the centre of a Night Team in your Cluster and Region, making sure that we maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming night-time environment for our students. This includes lending an ear or helping hand to students in need, responding to in the moment situations and being a point of escalation for your team.
You will be able to:
1. Support the Regional Night Manager to build and develop a motivated, engaged, and high-performance team
2. Manage a medium sized team across a Cluster of properties
3. Responsible for the routine activities of your team, including delegating tasks and setting targets, working alongside them to achieve these
4. Support the training and development of your team members to help them reach their potential
5. Take accountability for your team`s responsiveness in solving our students` problems
6. Support our students` wellbeing should they find themselves in vulnerable or difficult situations
7. Responsible for the safety and security of the building, making sure your team conducts the necessary checks
You will lead from the front to:
8. Provide a welcoming front of house reception service.
9. Conduct regular building checks to make sure that our buildings are clean, safe and secure
10. Undertake adhoc housekeeping and maintenance duties as needed
11. Deliver training sessions, workshops and toolbox talks
12. Support teams within local Cluster and wider-Region as a point of esculation
What we look for in you:
13. A self-starter, able to work under instruction as well as on initative
14. Must have a full UK/EU drivers license
15. You are comfortable working overnight across London
16. You are a confident operator and able to lead, manage and motivate a team
17. You can delegate tasks fairly, bearing in mind your team`s strengths and weaknesses
18. You will be able to make quick and decisive responses to in the moment events
19. You communicate effectively, by actively listening, making points logically, and by using appropriate language, tone, and gesture.
20. You remain calm and focused, even in difficult or pressurised situations
21. You are detail-orientated, nothing escapes your eye
22. You are confident working both on your own or as part of a team
23. You understand and respect the diversity of others` cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds
