Purpose of the
job To help Ollie and Oscar access fun, enjoyable and accessible activities in the community such as trips to the cinema, parks, cafes, the beach, soft play and Flip Out.
Hours and rate of Pay 10 hours per week term time and 15 hours per week during school holidays
Main Duties The main duties identified in the job description are examples of the expectations required; there may be occasions where you are reasonably requested to provide additional activities to be undertaken inside or outside of the home.

My assistant must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable. My assistant must have knowledge of non speaking autism, apraxia and complex sensory and motor difficulties. My assistant must always presume competence and speak to me age appropriately. My assistant must be quick and have a quick reaction time. My assistant must be able to remain calm when I am struggling. My assistant must respect my privacy and always maintain my dignity. My assistant must be enthusiastic and flexible with a caring disposition. You must be able to work well independently. My personal assistant is accountable to me in all aspects of their work. They should always ask what my needs are and listen to my directions and requests. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure which will be funded through your employer.
