We're recruiting on behalf of an innovative, technology-led engineering company operating at the forefront of precision Design. This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a high-performing team and play a key role in developing cutting-edge products from concept through to production.
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of design activities across multiple projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, precision-engineered solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading mechanical design across new product development projects
Producing detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies (SolidWorks)
Creating high-precision engineering drawings for manufacture
Applying design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles and liaising with suppliers
Supporting prototyping, testing, and design verification
Collaborating with electronics, software, and manufacturing teams
Providing technical support to production and driving continuous improvement
About You
We're looking for a proactive and technically capable engineer who thrives in an innovative environment.
You will ideally have:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Experience in a mechanical design role
Strong SolidWorks or 3D CAD skills
Experience working to tight tolerances and precision standards
Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload
