Criminal Solicitor
Location: Cardiff
Salary: Up to £55,000 (DOE)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (initial on-site expectation)

This is a permanent position for a Criminal Solicitor (1+ PQE) who is eager to take on a client-facing role with the chance to grow a department, lead business development in new locations, and become part of a firm that truly invests in your long-term progression.
The role will involve:
* Representing clients at the Magistrates’ Court.
* Managing your own criminal caseload from initial instruction through to resolution.
* Delivering a compassionate, proactive, and professional client service.
* Supporting departmental expansion into new geographical markets.
* Contributing to the commercial success of the team through accurate time recording, billing, and reporting.
* Developing relationships with new clients and referrers to establish and grow the firm’s presence in new areas.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be a qualified Criminal Solicitor with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience.
* Hold a full UK driving licence (travel may be required).
* Have strong case management and organisational skills.
* Be commercially minded with a strong understanding of legal aid and private billing structures.
* Show ambition to grow with the department and contribute to its strategic development.
