Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a social media manager to work across our portfolio of sports clients. We are looking for someone who knows social media platforms inside out - and also knows what's coming next in these areas. The successful candidate would work with our content producers, account managers and social media managers to develop and execute an online video distribution and digital community growth plan. A knowledge of all sports would be useful but a keen interest in football, boxing and cricket would be highly beneficial.
Key skills and knowledge
* Strong knowledge and experience of digital publishing software and techniques
* Excellent understanding of all relevant platforms - YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat
* Planning social content and maintaining the content calendar to ensure social media content is regular, relevant and engaging
* Ability to manage communities, interact with fans, commentators, press and partners
* Strong copywriting skills including excellent spelling and grammar, as well as writing techniques to capture particular audiences
* Keen, ongoing awareness and interest in trends across social media, digital publishing, online video and sports output internationally
* Experience of social media strategy, KPIs and goals to increase a digital audience and engagement
* Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere for quick turnaround social edits
* Capture vertical social first content on location
* Contribute to creative ideas for video content as part of output strategy
* An understanding of influencer markets, and the ability to liaise with influencers
* Knowledge of the role of paid for marketing in executing plans
* Knowledge of relevant sporting audiences
* Excellent communication skills, including experience in a client‑facing role
General
* Work flexible days, according to the appropriate sports‑related calendar
* Able to perform under pressure and to work to tight timescales
* Be a good communicator with strong relationship management skills
* Knowledge of football, boxing and cricket desirable
* Salary dependent on experience
