We have an exciting opportunity to join the Supply Chain Operational Efficiency team at Greggs, playing a key role in driving continuous improvement across our Manufacturing and Logistics operations.
As an Operational Efficiency Manager, you will typically support two Supply Chain operating sites, working closely with site leadership teams to identify, prioritise and deliver measurable improvements in Quality, Cost and Delivery. You’ll also be a proactive member of the Group Operational Efficiency team, helping to build capability, embed Lean principles and shape best practice across the business.
This is a highly visible role, ideal for someone passionate about improvement, data-led decision-making and engaging teams to deliver lasting change

About the role
17. This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

What you'll do
20. Enable Manufacturing and Logistics sites to apply the Greggs Operating System, Lean and Continuous Improvement principles
21. Identify and prioritise improvement opportunities using performance data and shop floor observation
22. Agree improvement plans and quantified benefits with site senior management teams
23. Deliver measurable improvements in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Food Safety
24. Build and maintain a clear pipeline of improvement opportunities
25. Facilitate structured problem-solving using data-led, evidence-based decision making
26. Develop and embed effective productivity measurement and performance tracking
27. Support the introduction of new products, processes, systems and equipment
28. Coach, train and develop teams at all levels in Lean and CI tools and techniques
29. Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement and constructive challenge
30. Ensure all improvement activity meets Health & Safety and Food Safety standards
31. Share best practice across sites and contribute to Group-wide improvement initiatives
32. Develop a specialist area of improvement expertise and act as a subject matter expert
About you

33. Have experience in Manufacturing and/or Logistics, ideally in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:
44. Experience in FMCG
45. Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement and change management
46. Experience of formal reporting and performance measurement
