Responsibilities:
* Design compelling accessories collections across Women’s and Men’s categories, translating seasonal concepts into commercially relevant product.
* Apply strong 3D design skills and, where applicable, leverage experience in print and surface design to enhance the range.
* Proactively track emerging and future trends, sharing insights and inspiration with the wider team to drive innovation and maintain a forward-thinking approach.
* Create detailed and accurate design packs to ensure high-quality first samples are delivered on time and in line with the critical path.
* Conduct in-depth market and competitor research to stay ahead of trends and maintain a sharp commercial.
* Collaborate with Buying to develop new ranges grounded in trend insights, sales performance, and customer needs.
* Produce CADs, design packs, and manipulate artworks, graphics, and prints to create clear design specifications.
* Communicate clearly with suppliers to answer any design details enquires, material choices, and construction queries.
* Present seasonal collections to the broader team and seniors, clearly articulating your design direction, key trends, and high-potential styles.
* Support wider design team by contributing to trend research and theme development for seasonal presentations.
Profile:
* Degree or equivalent in a fashion-based subject
* Experience at Assistant/junior Designer level
* Presentation Skills
* Ability to communicate with externals and Senior Management
* Good research skills
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload
* Strong eye for trends and understanding of the FatFace brand
* Be organised, a self–starter and able to prioritise own workload
* Fantastic knowledge of manufacturing techniques, materials and construction of items, with a keen eye for details
* Demonstrable knowledge of Photoshop, IndDsign and Illustrator
* Ability to convey designs from paper to 3D design
* Good Knowledge of Factory processes and be able to articulate yourself clearly and confidently when communicating with suppliers
* Creative and able to convey the vision of Fat Face Brand
* Comprehensive understanding of customer profile, product range & competitors
* Demonstrate knowledge of trends within the marketplace
* Be resilient in working at pace, adapting to change and open to constructive feedback
* 3D drawing skills and print experience are beneficial
