As an Assistant Project Manager, your main day-to-day will be project coordination. You would play a key role in supporting the planning, design, and delivery of a variety of projects across the Property Programme. From ensuring compliance with our internal project lifecycle to managing documentation, risks, and stakeholder relationships — you’ll be at the heart of driving real improvements for our business.
You may even take ownership of smaller workstreams from time to time, developing your skills and experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in delivering projects aligned to EMR’s long-term strategy. Supporting Project Managers to ensuring delivery to agreed time, scope and quality requirements.
2. Support governance and documentation for Property Programme projects, working collaboratively with Project Managers to ensure compliance with the EMR Project Lifecyle.
3. Capture and monitor risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, supporting Project Managers with impact assessments and the development of mitigation plans.
4. Build functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors to support successful project delivery.
5. Provide planning and administrative support to the programme team
6. Manage project-related finances such as purchase orders and invoicing
7. Contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability efforts
What We’re Looking For
8. Desire to work towards a recognised Project Management qualification (e.g., APM PFQ)
9. Excellent communication and organisational skills
10. Experience or interest in project coordination and business change
11. Confident using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
12. A proactive, collaborative team player who thrives on learning
