Position
Job: Mobile Mechanic (RAC) – Responsible for vehicle maintenance and diagnostics directly at customer locations. Provides first‑class service outside of a traditional garage.
Salary & Benefits
* Base salary: £40,170; up to £52,000 with bonuses and premium‑rate overtime.
* Guaranteed overtime option: 1 extra day/month at £30/hour (potentially £3,000–£5,000 extra per year).
* Full‑time 40‑hour week. Monday–Saturday availability 8 am–8 pm.
* Paid holiday: 23 days (up to 25 with service) plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities
* Perform light vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and checks.
* Serve customers at driveways, office car parks and other locations, maintaining a friendly and professional representation of the RAC.
* Manage stock, report duties and maintain clear customer communications.
* Make on‑the‑spot decisions and provide advice to customers.
Qualifications
* Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years’ hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
* Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
Work Environment
40 hours per week, core hours 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with one Saturday per fortnight. Own van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided.
