Overview
Following a very successful 2024, AtkinsRéalis is looking for a talented Intermediate Electrical Engineer to support a variety of exciting projects, including Hinkley Point C (HPC), Sizewell C (SZC), Small Modular Reactors (SMR), and defence-based work. You will be joining a friendly and rapidly growing Integrated Engineering Solutions (IES) team within the Power New Build part of our business, specialising in supporting the delivery of nuclear new build projects for major operators in the nuclear sector and advanced technologies for fusion power stations, including ITER and T1E.
Responsibilities
* Developing and reviewing electrical system designs, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.
* Conducting feasibility studies and technical assessments to identify optimal solutions for electrical systems.
* Preparing detailed specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
* Providing technical guidance and support during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
* Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree level qualification in electrical/electronic engineering, mechatronics, building services, engineering mathematics, or a related field.
* Relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the nuclear or energy sector.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Good communication skills and the ability to present technical information clearly.
* Eager to learn and develop professionally, with a proactive approach to work.
* Working towards Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is desirable.
