Head of IT
Location: Central London (Office-based, Monday–Friday)
We are seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead and develop our internal IT function, supporting approximately 70 staff in a predominantly macOS environment. This is a senior, hands-on role based in Central London, reporting directly to the CEO and contributing to strategic technology planning and decision-making across the business.
The Role
As Head of IT, you will take full ownership of the organisation’s IT services, infrastructure, and user support. You will ensure systems, equipment, and processes are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs, while leading and developing the IT team to deliver a high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage all technical requirements for approximately 70 users, primarily within a macOS environment
Provide day-to-day IT support for office-based and remote staff
Manage all IT equipment, including laptops, mobile devices, and telephony systems
Maintain and renew software and hardware contracts, ensuring best value and suitability
Oversee IT services and infrastructure design, management, and improvement
Liaise with the website team to ensure the company website remains current and optimised
Ensure IT equipment, software, and working practices are effective, secure, and fit for purpose
Lead and manage the IT team to deliver high-quality infrastructure and support servicesSkills & Experience
Extensive experience managing macOS environments
Strong experience with externally hosted systems
Proven ability in IT services and infrastructure design and management
Experience with virtualisation technologies
ITIL certification or strong ITIL knowledge
Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM)
Strong technical project management skills
