A part time post has arisen working in the Patient Access Team. This post is on a rota basis which includes weekends and bank holidays. The hours will be within an 8am - 8pm shift pattern. The post holders will be required to provide a welcoming, professional and courteous service to patients and visitors who visit the hospital. This customer facing role will be instrumental to the efficient running of the Ward areas across the Trust.

Job responsibilities
Post holders will be required to assist patients and visitors using a variety of communication methods. The post holder will work on a rota basis to ensure the service is appropriately covered at all times across a seven day week and be responsible for admitting and discharging patients in a timely manner. Ensure any relevant post admission information is sent to the relevant person(s).
It is vital that patients are appropriately tracked through the process to ensure they receive care at the appropriate times; there will be an element of validation and auditing required to ensure patients are treated in a timely and efficient manner. The post requires a high level of tact and diplomacy and strict adherence to confidentiality.
