Are you an established Senior Civil Engineer looking to advance your career? Would you like to be involved in delivering exciting projects and join a dynamic, growing team at the forefront of sustainable design? If so, we invite you to join our Civils team in Glasgow.
You’ll work collaboratively with the team to create levels and drainage designs, analyse cut and fill requirements, and play a key role in delivering projects successfully throughout their lifecycle, from inception to hand‑over and beyond. You’ll produce detailed, innovative, and creative designs, drawings, specifications, and guidance notes using Civil 3D and InfoDrainage software. Additionally, you will craft high‑quality written reports for internal and external stakeholders, always mindful of deadlines and accuracy.
Operating across boundaries as part of a fully integrated multidisciplined team, you'll have a great platform to showcase your ideas and designs. By prioritising health, safety, and sustainability, you'll liaise with landscape architects, clients, and the wider design team to develop efficient and integrated civils solutions. There will also be opportunities to develop your leadership skills by supporting junior team members and supervising design staff, providing guidance, and verifying their calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Our mentoring programme offers further opportunities to develop your skills and experience, honing your leadership abilities by working alongside some of our most experienced engineers and business leaders.
This is an exciting period for Waterman as we support the delivery of a net zero built environment, while our own journey to net zero accelerates. Our innovative and collaborative culture means you’ll work alongside experts from across the business to develop your ideas and apply the latest sustainable design techniques.
We’d love to hear from you if you're passionate about structural design, eager to take the next step in your career, and committed to helping shape the future of both our company and the built environment.
