We are seeking to appoint a passionate and experienced SENDCo to join our warm and welcoming infant school community. This exciting opportunity has arisen following the promotion of our previous SENDCo, and we are now looking for a dedicated professional to continue their excellent work. As our SENDCo, you will: Lead on the strategic development of SEND provision across the school. Be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to whole-school planning and improvement. Fulfil the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL). Line manage Learning Support Assistants and support staff in identifying and meeting the needs of pupils with SEND. Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. Maintain and update SEND records in line with statutory requirements. This is a part-time role, working 3 days a week. Days can be discussed at interview and are flexible for the right candidate. The role includes half a day PPA cover. We are looking for someone who: Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination or NPQ for SENCOs. Has experience working with children with a range of special educational needs. Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills. Is committed to inclusive education and passionate about making a difference.
