Job Description:
All of our Store Managers are essential cogs in the running of our Little Dessert Shop stores. A Little Dessert Shop store manager should be passionate about customer service and fired up with the idea of running a successful business. You should be happy and quick to learn and ambition is welcomed! We love a can-do attitude, someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and get involved! It is the job of the store manager to not only run the store successfully but to motivate and manage a team of creative individuals. This fast-paced job is ever-changing and requires an energetic, self-motivated, hard-working individual who is focused on getting results. As well as recruiting staff, you will train, lead, and motivate them. You need to be confident in managing staff performance, including lateness, absences, attitude, and other issues. You must also resolve customer complaints or queries promptly. Flexibility is essential, as hours may be long, and evening, weekend, and bank holiday work will be required. Travel may be necessary for covering or training at other sites and attending meetings. Responsibilities include maintaining stock levels, ordering stock, cashing up, reconciliation of tills, managing floats, developing staff rotas, ensuring health and safety compliance, store maintenance, following operational guidelines, and maintaining brand standards. You will also perform other duties as required. In return, you'll receive ongoing support, training, development, and potential bonuses based on store performance. There are opportunities for career progression as the company grows. Salary is negotiable based on experience. Essential criteria include the right to work in the UK, experience in a restaurant or retail environment, GCSEs in English and Maths (grades A-D), proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook, and preferably a hospitality qualification. Training will be provided for suitable applicants.
