Production Manager (CNC)
Job Location: Poole, Dorset

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm & Friday 8.30am – 2.00pm
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to work at a well-established manufacturing company in Poole, with over 50 years of experience supplying machined parts for various industrial applications.
In this role, you will oversee the CNC Machine Shop and manufacturing areas, developing the team to achieve high standards and meet customer deadlines, ensuring quality and efficiency.
We seek an individual with CNC knowledge who can mentor and lead the team, managing approximately 35 staff across shop floor, production planning, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prioritize, issue, and schedule work orders for the Machine Shop
2. Manage production targets and KPIs
3. Ensure overall efficiency and productivity
4. Maintain quality and compliance standards
5. Identify manufacturing needs for new and existing products
6. Implement and maintain best practices and continuous improvements
7. Champion health & safety policies
8. Recruit, train, and develop staff
Person Specification:
Candidates should possess:
1. Experience as a Production Engineer, Supervisor, or Manager within a CNC environment
2. Leadership experience managing CNC machinists (turners & millers)
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Strong scheduling and prioritization abilities
5. Knowledge of quality and compliance standards in manufacturing
