The Property Team is based at Clayton House, Blackburn, and reports to the property committee. The team manages the purchase, sale, repair, and maintenance of the Diocesan housing portfolio, including glebe land and properties. The role involves advising clergy and occupants of parsonage houses, ensuring timely responses to repairs, emergencies, and security measures. It reports to the Property Manager & Diocesan Surveyor and involves a high level of confidentiality.
Key responsibilities
1. Monitor the asset management system daily, submit invoices for completed works, and chase outstanding invoices.
2. Maintain accurate property asset information in the system.
3. Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Property department.
4. Arrange appointments and manage the department's diaries.
5. Support in preparing information and agendas for department meetings.
6. Assist at Diocesan events, which may require evening and weekend work.

Contract type: Permanent
Salary: £11,000 per annum
Hours: Part-time, with additional hours as needed, including evenings and weekends. Time off in lieu is provided for outside normal hours.
Location: Based at Clayton House, Blackburn, with travel around the diocese. Equipment for remote working can be provided.
Pension: Royal London Pension Scheme with 10% employer contribution; clergy can opt into the Church of England scheme.
Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with service, pro-rated for part-time.
Probation: Six months, with two weeks’ notice during this period. Afterward, six months’ notice is required.
