Apprentice Electrician

Salary: £21,000 (+£1,800 in salary increments upon completing training milestones)
Your week: 36.25 hours (Monday to Friday 8.45am – 5pm)
Learning time - 6hrs per week off the job learning (1 day a week) with the training provider.
Ready to start your career and earn while you learn? We're looking for a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our friendly Internal Repairs Team at Amplius. You'll get hands-on experience across a variety of electrical tasks, supported by experienced colleagues and formal training to help you build your skills and confidence. Qualification: City & Guilds Electrotech (5357 – 23)
Duration: 48 months + 6 month EPA
Provider: Places for People (PFP)
4 days every month will be spent in Derby undertaking practical training relating to the job role with PFP. All training related travel and costs will be covered by the company.
You’ll spend the rest of your time in and around our Milton Keynes office, shadowing your supportive team and learning how to install, maintain and repair electrical systems in homes. You’ll need to travel to different sites and the MK office as required.
Snapshot of your role
* Support with electrical work in customers’ homes, including installations, repairs and testing
* Learn to carry out safe inspections and maintain tools and equipment
* Help keep your Amplius van stocked, clean and roadworthy
* Work alongside experienced colleagues and attend training to build your skills
* Follow health and safety procedures and report any issues promptly
* Deliver great customer service as part of the Internal Repairs Team, helping to keep customer’s homes safe and comfortable.
You’ll also learn how to keep your tools and materials organised, work safely, and deliver great customer service. Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team that takes pride in making homes safe and comfortable for our customers.
Your toolkit for success
* GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above
* Basic IT skills (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word)
* Good communication skills
* A positive attitude and a real interest in learning a trade
* The determination to grow and develop as a professional
DBS clearance is required for this role.
