edyn is a dynamic and expanding lifestyle accommodation company operating the Cove, Locke, and SACO brands, serving corporate and leisure markets across the UK and Europe. The group is undergoing significant change to its organisational structure to drive long-term growth and efficiency.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Finance Assistant Business Partnering to support hotel financial operations on a multi-site level. This role is key to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring internal controls, and delivering timely, insightful financial reporting. The Finance Assistant Business Partnering will work with the General Manager and department heads to support strategic decision-making and drive financial performance.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash handling, and hotel management.
* Prepare monthly accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis.
* Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes; perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain clean general ledger accounts.
* Manage compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and statutory regulations at hotel level.
* Oversee capital expenditure tracking and ensure alignment with budget and approval processes.
* Support internal and external audits with required documentation and issue resolution.
* Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and financial integrity.
* Ensure accruals are based on contractual terms.
* Collaborate with the General Manager and department heads to review budgets, forecasts, and financial performance; provide actionable financial insights and recommendations.
* Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement; support training and development for hotel staff.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Proactive, hands-on, and adaptable; capable of organising and prioritising multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Proficient in Excel, BI, business modelling tools, NetSuite, Sage, and related systems; experience with PoS integrations is desirable.
* Experience delivering strong financial performance and maintaining close collaboration with key business teams and leaders.
