Remote role - Preference for those located in the south of the UK but not essential
An innovative energy organisation in the United Kingdom is seeking a Head of Energy and Environment to oversee all aspects of the organisation’s energy strategy, operations, and sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the company’s energy strategy, aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements
* Lead decarbonization and renewable energy initiatives
* Track and report on sustainability KPIs and emissions
* Manage energy infrastructure projects
* Expand and develop the energy team
Requirements
* 10+ years of experience in senior, lead, principal, or head of positions
* Strong background in energy, sustainability, transport, supply, or a similar field
* Extensive experience developing company-wide strategies and project approaches
* Experience working with local authorities and organisations responsible for transport, energy, and infrastructure
* Experience leading a team and mentoring colleagues
* UK citizen without the need for sponsorship or visas
* Fluent in English, both verbal and written
