We are a growing accountancy practice based in Herefordshire and are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Administrator on a part-time basis. This role is office-based and ideally suited to someone with previous experience who is confident using payroll and accountancy software.
Key Responsibilities:
· The processing of payrolls using Brightpay, including the submission of pension contributions, FPS submissions and journals to Xero.
· Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients using Xero, Quickbooks, Free Agent and Excel.
· Preparation and submission of VAT returns
· Preparation and submission of MTD returns
· Liaising directly with clients regarding payroll and bookkeeping queries.
Essential Requirements:
· Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice
· Strong working knowledge of Xero and ideally Brightpay.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to manage deadlines and multiple clients
Desirable:
· Payroll preparation experience
· AAT qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent experience)
