Job overview

Thame Adult Community Health (ACHT) is delighted to announce a Referral Administrator position.

The post is to provide administrative and clerical support to the integrated care teams referral access point. This requires accurate registration of referrals and allocation to locality based teams following clinical triage. Maintenance of confidentiality in respect of all patients and staff information from all sources.

The team provides a 7 day service and therefore the successful applicant will be required to work occasional weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

1. Order stationary and supplies for team, demonstrating budgetary awareness
2. Where appropriate, receive and record telephone calls from patients, work colleagues and senior staff within the organisation and across other organisations, dealing with calls, enquires and messages in a professional and empathetic manner, relaying messages and taking appropriate action
3. Record patient information electronically and forward as appropriate.
Assists with collection of statistical information
4. Access appropriate training to gain skills required for the post

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge

Desirable criteria

15. Good key board skills
16. An ability to prioritise own workload

Experience

Essential criteria

17. Experience of working in an office environment either in paid or voluntary capacity.
18. Experience of dealing with public on the telephone.
19. Experience participating in a research or audit project
20. Experience of day to day staff management e.g. case allocation to Health Care Assistant

Educational, Qualifications & Training

Essential criteria

21. English Language GCSE or equivalent at C grade or above.

Desirable criteria

22. ECDL
23. Moderate knowledge of word, excel and data base skills.
