Bid Writer – Assistant Social Value Bid Writer – Ridge and Partners LLP
Join Ridge and Partners LLP as a Bid Writer in our Social Value Team. The firm is a growing, multi‑discipline built environment consultancy that helps clients create better and more sustainable places to live, learn, work and play.
We are looking for an early‑career professional with experience supporting the writing of bids, case studies or formal reports, and a keen interest in social value, ESG and sustainability.
What you’ll do
* Prepare and write structured and persuasive responses to social value questions within bids.
* Review ITTs.
* Support our Social Value Project Consultants with drafting social value programme proposals aligned to client priorities and researched community needs.
* Use our social value platform to create impact forecasts for bids.
* Assist with research and information gathering to inform bid responses from a wide range of sources; write from scratch or edit material as appropriate.
* Support the writing of case studies and examples of our social value delivery; create and update project experience, case studies and testimonials that demonstrate past success and expertise.
* Proofread and edit bid and case study content to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance, and correct style and grammar.
* Assist with review of feedback on bid success or failure and suggest improvements for future social value responses and proposals.
What you’ll bring
* Previous experience of bid, case study or report writing.
* A passion for writing and a flair for communicating complex ideas.
* Exemplary writing, editing and proofreading skills.
* Strong relationship‑building and team‑working skills.
* Experience working to tight deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
* Understanding or experience of social value delivery in construction, engineering or related sectors (advantageous).
Qualifications & Tools
* Microsoft Office proficiency – Word, Excel, PowerPoint (required).
* Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and graphic design processes (desirable).
