Soldering Technicians - we need you!
Fixed Term Contract - 18 Months
We have multiple opportunitiesto join our Land and Air Systems (LAS) Optronic business unit as a manufacturing technician. In this role you will work closely with existing team members, Work Cell Manager and Manufacturing Engineers in delivering the outputs from the relevant work cell as per the business requirements.
The roles are based out of our Glasgow manufacturing site.You will work a 4 day week Monday to Thursday and work 9.25 hours per day.
Start time is flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am and you get 30 minutes unpaid for lunch.There is also free on-site parking and an on-site canteen
Key Responsibilities
1. To perform complex Manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation provided to the quality standards expected
2. Adhere to the defined Company processes when carrying out all tasks
3. Perform self-assessment and approval of products
4. Input and support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within Industry
5. Able to detect any fault or non-compliance and if necessary raise the alert. In addition when able should contribute to diagnostics and the finding of the cause/root analysis
6. Manage and record build configuration of product
7. Use the company tools (ERP, Palma etc.) when carrying out product assembly tasks
About you
8. Experience working in a production or manufacturing departments
9. Able to interpret circuit diagrams and identify faults to component level
10. Ability to Identify and carry out actions required with minimal supervision
11. PC literate in the use of Microsoft Office Tool set
12. Able to secure SC clearance with no restrictions
Desirable
13. Experience in working within an Industrial / Engineering environment is essential.
14. IPC trained and accredited
15. An electrical / electronic qualification
