Are you an experienced education-sector finance and operations leader looking for an opportunity to shape the future of a growing multi-academy trust?
Lumero Educational Trust is seeking a Chief Finance and Operations Officer (CFOO) to join its Executive Team and lead finance, HR, estates, IT, governance, risk and compliance across a family of 12 primary and secondary schools.

This is a significant executive leadership opportunity for an experienced education-sector leader who enjoys developing high-quality shared services and enabling schools to focus on teaching and learning.
You will:
• Lead Finance, HR and Payroll, Estates, IT, Governance, Risk and Compliance across the Trust
• Contribute to the overall leadership, vision and strategy of the Trust as a member of the Executive Team
• Deliver financial and operational strategies that support long-term sustainability
• Continue the development of shared services across the organisation
• Strengthen governance, reporting, risk management and compliance frameworks
• Lead organisational design and infrastructure planning
• Build strong relationships with Headteachers, Trustees and senior leaders
• Drive operational consistency, collaboration and continuous improvement
• Help shape the Trust's long-term direction and future growth readiness
You may currently be:
• A Chief Finance and Operations Officer (CFOO) within a multi-academy trust
• A Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Business Officer or Director of Finance and Operations within the education sector
• A senior education-sector leader with responsibility for finance, operations and shared services across a complex organisation
What we're looking for:
• Significant senior leadership experience across both finance and operational functions
• Experience within the education sector, ideally within a multi-academy trust
• A track record of managing complex budgets and supporting financial sustainability
• Experience leading shared services and multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong governance, risk management and regulatory compliance expertise
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
• Strong strategic leadership capability and experience driving organisational improvement
• The ability to build credibility and work effectively across a complex educational environment
