The successful candidate will be responsible for the security of the school site, maintenance, cleanliness, heating, health & safety, general day-to-day running of the school, and assisting in preparing for events and exams. The candidate must hold a valid driver’s license, as travel to other sites and driving the school minibus may be required (proof of license required during recruitment). Experience in a similar role is desirable, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
The role involves working 37 hours per week with shift times varying between 5 am and 9 pm, including some weekends. The candidate should be physically fit and able to work at heights.
Main responsibilities include:
* Site security and safety
* Out-of-hours key holding
* Locking and unlocking premises
* General property and site maintenance, including redecoration
* Maintaining the school site internally and externally to a high standard
* Health and safety compliance and record keeping
* Cleaning
* Grounds maintenance
* Operating the school's online maintenance system
* Driving the school minibus
* Porterage services
