Job description
We are currently working with a welcoming primary school in Enfield that is looking to appoint a Welfare Officer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s health, wellbeing, and safeguarding within a school environment.
The Role:
1. Providing welfare support for pupils, including first aid and medical needs
2. Monitoring attendance and supporting families with pupil wellbeing
3. Working closely with the safeguarding and pastoral teams
4. Acting as the first point of contact for health, welfare, and pastoral concerns
5. Supporting the wider school team to promote a safe and nurturing environment
The Ideal Candidate:
6. Previous experience in a welfare, pastoral, or safeguarding role (school experience desirable)
7. First Aid qualification (or willingness to train)
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with children, families, and staff
9. Organised, reliable, and able to work as part of a supportive team
