About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join our one of our clients manufacturing teams. This role involves setting, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components in line with technical drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Set and operate CNC machines (milling, turning, or both)
Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials
Perform machine setup adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Monitor machine performance and make necessary corrections
Conduct quality checks using measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations
Carry out routine maintenance and report any faults or issues
Work to production targets and deadlines
Requirements Proven experience as a CNC Setter / Operator
Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, or similar control systems (preferred)
Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible approach to work and willingness to work shifts if required
Desirable Skills CNC programming experience (advantageous but not essential)
Experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
Knowledge of quality standards and inspection procedures
Working Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week with opportunities for overtime
