The fracture clinic is a busy Trauma Clinic, seeing patients with injuries from various causes. We see both adults and children. Elective orthopaedic clinics are for patients referred by their GPs for specialized opinions, including spinal services, neurosurgery, and children’s clinics.
The role of Nursing Assistant in this fast-paced environment involves maintaining efficient patient flow, running clinics, and providing a chaperone service to doctors.

As a nursing assistant, you will run clinics in fracture and elective orthopaedics, chaperone doctors during consultations, assist patients with personal care or queries, and fit splints or braces once trained and competent.
We seek candidates with excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills. Personal qualities include initiative, proactivity, reliability, punctuality, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new skills. Occasional work at both sites (Royal Stoke and County Hospital) may be required.
