The Role
You will play a key role within the firm's payroll bureau, supporting a varied client portfolio and ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and on time. This position offers strong exposure to client-facing work, alongside the opportunity to develop wider practice experience over time.
What You Will Do
* Administer payroll for a portfolio of clients, ensuring all deadlines are met
* Prepare and submit all employer reports in line with statutory requirements
* Support the Payroll Manager in the smooth day-to-day running of the payroll bureau
* Assist with additional client reporting requirements
* Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all work
* Liaise with both internal teams and external clients to resolve queries
* Support other areas of the firm where required, including ad hoc assignments
* Gain exposure to bookkeeping and accounts work as your experience develops

Requirements
* Minimum 1-2 years' experience in practice or a payroll bureau environment
* Experience of HSC payroll (desirable)
* Working knowledge of payroll software
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
