An expanding engineering firm is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to drive growth, win new business, and manage key accounts. With OTE up to £120,000, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact through technical and commercial expertise covering the South East of the UK.


Key Details:

* Basic Salary: up to £60,000
* Benefits: Uncapped commission (OTE £120,000), 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Company Car
* Location: Maidenhead
* Commutable Locations: Slough, Windsor, Ascot, Woking, Reading, Guildford, Basingstoke, Swindon, High Wycombe, Uxbridge, Watford

Job Description:

As our Technical Sales Manager, leveraging your pump industry experience and engineering background, you will deliver tailored solutions to clients, from surveying plant rooms to understanding their needs, and providing bespoke pumping and mechanical solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.


Responsibilities:

1. Manage and expand your sales territory by building on existing relationships and developing new business.
2. Allocate approximately 70% of your time to account management and 30% to new business development.
3. Have hands-on experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, fans, and electrical motors.
4. Use your technical knowledge to provide solutions, technical proposals, and recommendations.


Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates are driven sales professionals with pump sector experience, possibly selling into facilities management, water utilities, wastewater, engineering, or manufacturing sectors. We seek self-motivated individuals with strong business development skills and a proven track record in selling technical solutions.

You should:

1. Be proactive in building relationships with clients.
2. Have hands-on experience with pumps, fans, and motors, including system controls and energy optimization.
3. Possess excellent influencing skills and confidence to support your ideas.
4. Collaborate effectively with internal teams for accurate pricing and delivery.
5. Hold relevant technical or engineering qualifications or experience, such as a Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent experience.


Prospects:

As we continue to grow, new opportunities will arise. Candidates may have experience in roles such as Sales Engineer, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or Regional Sales Manager in sectors like chemical, manufacturing, pump solutions, water utility, wastewater, oil, gas, pharmaceutical, or food industries.
