Veterinary Care Assistant - Chadwell Heath Vets for Pets
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Vets for Pets Chadwell Heath practice.

About the Practice
You’ll be joining an enthusiastic team made up of 2 Vets, 2 RVNs, 1 Student Nurse and 1 Veterinary Care Assistant, all committed to delivering excellent patient and client care.
Cheryl has a keen interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine, with a particular passion for surgery, and has recently completed her surgical certificate. Within the wider team there are also interests in rabbit medicine, geriatric care and dentistry, creating a great environment for learning and professional development.
The practice is well equipped with modern facilities including:
1. Ultrasound
2. Digital X-ray
3. Full in-house laboratory
Located in Chadwell Heath, the practice benefits from excellent transport links into Central London and easy access to the M25, making commuting simple whether you’re travelling locally or from further afield.
About the role
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with a fair 1 in 3 weekend rota and no out-of-hours commitments.
4. Experience as a VCA and with animals is advantageous but not essential
5. You are the friendly and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
6. You can provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available.
7. You are calm, attentive and always focus on the clients’ needs.
8. You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role. Your passion for service is matched with your love of pets.
9. You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy’s first visit to the vet.
10. Your personality is infectious and along with your fellow colleagues, you create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice.
