DC Operative- FLT (Nights)

Our Leeds Distribution Centre plays a critical role in getting products to customers quickly, accurately, and safely. What will you be doing?
As a DC Operative – FLT (Nights), you’ll support our night‑shift operations by ensuring inventory moves efficiently and safely through the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Operating Forklift Trucks (FLT) safely to move, store, and retrieve stock.
2. Picking and fulfilling customer orders, following inspection and quality processes.
3. Preparing and shipping orders within agreed timeframes.
4. Receiving goods, unpacking materials, and checking items against purchase orders.
5. Completing accurate documentation including shipping labels, packing lists, and stock records.
6. Updating warehouse systems to maintain stock accuracy.
7. Identifying opportunities to improve processes and KPIs.
8. Supporting wider warehouse activities as required.
This is a hands‑on, active role within a fast‑paced distribution environment, where accuracy and teamwork are essential.
What about you?
We’re looking for someone who brings experience, reliability, and a strong work ethic to our night‑shift team. You will:
9. Have previous warehouse or distribution centre experience (typically 2+ years).
10. Hold a valid FLT licence (Counterbalance or Reach — both ideal).
11. Be comfortable working permanent night shifts.
12. Be able to work independently, managing your time effectively.
13. Be confident using warehouse systems and following established processes.
14. Communicate well with supervisors and colleagues.
15. Be physically capable of the role — including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, and working at height (up to 15 ft).
16. Have good attention to detail and a commitment to safety and accuracy.
