As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental progress of children with SEN.
Your responsibilities:
1. Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individualised learning plans
2. Providing one-to-one support to students with specific needs
3. Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
4. Collaborating with other staff members and professionals to ensure the holistic well-being of each child
5. Supporting students with activities of daily living and learning
6. Assisting specialist teachers and education teams to ensure learners have a consistent approach to their education
Requirements:
7. Previous experience working with children with SEN or in a care setting supporting children - desirable
8. A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
10. Patience, empathy, and resilience in handling challenging situations
11. A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs
12. Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training as required
