Responsibilities
* Schedule all finished goods and mixes using inventory control systems (BPCS/SAP) to meet customer demands and inventory requirements; perform system transactions including shop order creation and reporting, shortage reports and communication of schedules.
* Determine ingredient, packaging, and raw material requirements to create purchase orders for timely delivery, minimizing inventory carrying costs and shelf-life exposure.
* Manage ingredient, packaging, and raw material inventories, ensuring accurate inventories across warehouse locations via cycle counts and scheduled inventories.
* Create orders for offsite warehouses, Hood-owned properties, and 3rd party warehouses.
* Follow FIFO for all ingredients and packaging, including flammable trailers.
* Reconcile and manage purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices for packaging, ingredients, and raw materials, including related inventory and reporting transactions.
* Create inventory reports and schedules as required and perform system transactions to maintain business continuity.
* Perform transactions related to co-packed products, including forecasting communication, material ordering, transfer of finished goods, and other inventory activities.
* Act as a member of the variance team and collaborate to improve variances; work with team members on ingredient and variance gains and losses.
* Serve as backup for the Material Coordinator in the Southworth facility and the Production Inventory Control Manager.
* Ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory and quality standards.
* Other duties as required.
Education And Experience
* Warehouse experience preferred
* Experience with Power Industrial Tools preferred
* High School Graduate or equivalent
* Knowledge of inventory systems (BPCS, LogPro, SAP) preferred
* Basic math and computer skills
* Ability to work independently or within a group
* Good organizational and time management skills
* Experience with computer systems (Word, Excel, Access)
Safety Responsibilities
* Work in a safe and responsible manner at all times, following safety policies and procedures
* Report unsafe observations or conditions to a supervisor or manager
* Immediately report injuries or accidents to a supervisor or manager
* Meet all company training requirements, including but not limited to LOTO awareness, PPE, PIT, Ergonomics, etc.
SQF Requirements/Responsibilities
* Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through job tasks and sanitary work areas
* Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
Physical Requirements
* Sitting for long periods
* Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs occasionally
* Pushing/pulling up to 30 lbs occasionally
* Freezer work with temperature range from +40° F to -20° F
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. The pay range for this position is $63,200 - $83,100 USD.
