Position: Commissioning Engineer at Waukesha Bearings
Working for Waukesha Bearings as a Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of a specialist team responsible for the commissioning of new active magnetic bearings installations that we manufacture, as well as servicing existing installations both remotely and on-site worldwide. Additionally, you will support production testing at our laboratory in Worthing, West Sussex.
For over three decades, Waukesha Magnetic Bearings has advanced rotating equipment performance using magnetic bearing technology. We lead in custom-engineered active magnetic bearing (AMB) systems for large turbomachinery, including turbo expanders, multi-stage natural gas compressors, and electrical motors up to 23MW.
What You Will Bring
* HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* At least five years of experience in commissioning automation systems
* Knowledge of European safety standards (beneficial)
What You Will Do
* Commission systems worldwide, including subsystems before site installation
* Service and support on a global basis
* Respond to service call-outs internationally
* Complete system integration and testing following company procedures
* Provide documentation for testing installations and cabinets
* Assist with cabinet testing
* Ensure delivery meets specified requirements by deadline
* Adhere to safety and quality standards per country
* Achieve commissioning targets as agreed with customers
* Maintain professional and technical standards in customer interactions
* Support business objectives as needed
* Potentially handle some commercial activities
* Up to 50% international travel
