Position
Design Manager – Environment Agency team (South‑West). 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
Location and Hours
Location: Flexible within Greater South‑West – mixture of offices, project sites and home.
Hours: 45 hours per week (some flexibility available).
Responsibilities
* Manage the design process from initial concept through to detailed design, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
* Coordinate with multi‑disciplinary teams to drive innovative and cost‑effective engineering solutions.
* Build collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
* Manage design quality procedures and ensure timely delivery of design information.
* Support digital design initiatives and ensure compliance with BIM standards.
Qualifications
* Level 6 qualification (degree or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
* Experience delivering high‑value, complex design work from the main contractor perspective.
* Experience managing and driving a multi‑disciplinary technical engineering team.
* Ability to organise, plan, programme and manage workloads.
* Commercial awareness.
* Full driving licence.
