Position Overview
We are looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Early Years Inclusion Support Officers to work alongside the Area SENCOs to identify and deliver inclusion and early intervention strategies and activities in early years settings across the city.
Fixed Term Details
There are two fixed-term posts:
* One post is fixed term until 31st March 2027.
* The other post is fixed term for up to 12 months to cover maternity leave.
Qualifications and Experience
* Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years and Childcare or equivalent.
* Have had experience of supporting vulnerable children with a wide range of additional needs in an early years setting as a SENCO.
* Have a sound and secure knowledge of the EYFS, SEND Code of Practice and principles of child development.
Key Skills
Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to liaise with other organisations, services and sensitive face-to-face contact with parents and carers.
Must be able to work as part of a team and be an effective and organised time manager.
