Graduate Design Coordinator – 2026 - Cambridgeshire

As a Graduate Design Coordinator, you will become part of our Building team, delivering award-winning public-sector projects including Bath Spa University, the Royal London Hospital, and Bristol schools. In the private sector, we focus on commercial and mixed-use buildings. Our London expertise has contributed to a portfolio featuring some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, such as The Gherkin and Heron Tower. Security Clearance: Successful candidates will have to pass high security clearance (SC). In order to pass, both UK and non-UK subjects must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
What you'll do:
1. Be a core part of the Design Management team to drive business change in the use of new and emerging digital design technologies across the business.
2. Support the design management process on a project, from enquiry through to submission of the tender and the ongoing management of all design related issues until project completion.
3. Support the delivery of design work areas, in accordance with company procedures, statutory compliance (i.e. planning, building control, fire, environment), programme requirements, contract requirements, and project specifications.
4. Undertake design reviews of using a variety of digital technologies - including building information modelling (BIM) and common data environments (CDE).
5. Be responsible for the development and maintenance of the design management plan and design brief, including client requirements, cost, programme, design standards, health & safety, digital design strategy, production logistics, facilities management, contract agreement.
6. Attend site to understand the delivery of the design process from BIM model to contract drawings through procurement and delivery on site.
7. Attend regular design coordination and progress reviews with design team, sub-contractors, and support the design manager with action notes and closing issues out.
What you'll bring to the role:
8. Studying towards (final year) or having recently completed a Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architectural-based course that is accredited by the RIBA, ICE or CIOB.
9. A keen interest in the use of current and emerging digital design technologies to drive business change and improvement
10. Have excellent communications skills and attention to detail
