SEN(D) Teaching Assistant

An SEN school in Yeovil is currently seeking a motivated and caring SEN(D) Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
The Role
In this role, you will work closely with classroom teachers to provide high‑quality support to pupils aged 4–19 years with a range of SEN(D) needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
* Experience supporting Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
* Youth work or similar experience working with young people
* Excellent spoken English
* A strong commitment to improving the social and emotional wellbeing of pupils
* A caring, patient and resilient nature with a compassionate approach
* The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and wider support staff
* Clear and effective communication skills
Working Hours & Benefits
* Full-time, part-time and flexible availability will be considered
* Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 15:35
* Term-time only role
* 12.07% holiday pay

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
