An established food manufacturing business is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to support site operations within a fast‑paced FMCG environment. This role will focus on delivering both reactive and planned maintenance to ensure plant reliability, safety, and performance during night production.
The successful engineer will join a well‑resourced engineering function and play a key role in minimising downtime while supporting continuous improvement across production lines.
Responsibilities
* Provide reactive and preventative maintenance support across manufacturing operations
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise production disruption
* Support delivery of planned preventative maintenance schedules
* Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance across engineering activities
* Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to drive operational efficiency
* Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and automation projects where applicable
Qualifications
* Experience as a Maintenance Engineer within an FMCG or food production environment
* Apprenticeship trained with a recognised engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent preferred)
* Strong fault‑finding ability across mechanical and electrical systems
* Comfortable working nights in a high‑volume, time‑critical setting
* Proactive, dependable and safety‑focused approach
