The role As a Pipefitter, you’ll be part of a highly skilled team supporting the Royal Navy’s fleet. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly contribute to national defence and maritime safety. You’ll carry out essential maintenance and repairs on submarines and surface vessels, helping ensure they’re ready for deployment and operating at peak performance. Day-to-day, You’ll Have The Following Responsibilities Performing repairs and maintenance on plant system pipework across Royal Navy vessels and base facilities Completing planned preventative maintenance and nuclear-implicated tasks to support operational readiness Identifying and resolving system defects and manufacturing issues to maintain vessel performance Following health and safety legislation and contributing to a safe working environment Suggesting improvements to systems and processes to boost productivity and efficiency. This is a full-time role, working 36 hours per week, based on site at HMNB Clyde. Essential Experience Of The Pipefitter Skilled in brazing, pipe bending, and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics Familiar with Production Technical Instructions and Support Documentation Knowledge of acceptance standards and regulated industry practices Experience in a highly regulated industry is advantageous but not essential. Qualifications For The Pipefitter NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
