We are in an exciting position to be expanding our Student Support Team. We are delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic student services support worker to join our fantastic team at Twynham School, working 18.5hrs per week, term‑time only. This role is focused on supporting young people with their mental health and well‑being. This is a great opportunity to work with a fantastic team of people.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and promote the development and learning of the children with a variety of academic, physical, emotional, behavioural and social needs
* To work with children outside of the classroom to boost their emotional literacy and mental health
* Liaise with external agencies to ensure the right support for the children
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies

Who we are looking for
* Have five GCSEs at A‑C, including Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications/grades)
* Enjoy working with and can relate to children in and out of the classroom
* Work with energy and enthusiasm
* Are flexible with the ability to work as part of a team
* Want the challenge of working in an educational environment
* Want to work with like‑minded colleagues who believe in the power of education to transform lives
* Are first aid trained (or are willing to undertake training with us upon appointment)
