FIRST AID SUPPORT OFFICER
Hours: 08:00am – 04:00pm (Term-time only)
Salary: KS B - £25,126 FTE (£4,439.76 pro-rata)
This is a permanent part-time position for 1 day per week on Fridays.
The Norton Knatchbull School is seeking a calm, compassionate and organised individual to join our school as a First Aid Support Officer. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our students and should be confident working independently.
First Aid at Work training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide basic first aid to students and staff, contacting parents, next of kin, or emergency services as appropriate.
2. Monitor and maintain the student Medical Room to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
3. Ensure healthcare plans are in place and reviewed for relevant students.
4. Communicate medical, health, and wellbeing needs to relevant staff.
5. Safely store and monitor student medication, ensuring it is in date and accessible when needed.
6. Keep all first aiders informed of students with medical or wellbeing needs.
7. Coordinate the administration of vaccinations, including managing letters and parental consent forms, and liaising with internal and external colleagues.
