Finance Manager | Hybrid Working
We’re recruiting for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead a small transactional finance team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day running of the function.
This is a well-rounded role where you’ll oversee the full finance cycle, combining team leadership, transactional oversight, and financial accounting support.
The role:
* Managing and developing a team of 4 across purchase ledger and sales ledger
* Overseeing day-to-day transactional finance, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
* Remaining hands-on with processing, queries and escalations when needed
* Managing treasury activities, including cash flow and banking
* Supporting the production of financial accounts and year-end processes
* Assisting with audit requirements and liaising with external auditors
* Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
* Driving process improvements across the finance function
About you:
* Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager role
* Strong background in transactional finance with a willingness to stay hands-on
* Experience supporting financial accounting, audit and VAT
* Confident managing and developing a team
* Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
