Our client is a fast-growing business within the health food industry, on a mission to make nutritious eating more accessible. From their dedicated production site, they create high-quality, plant-based meals that are delivered nationwide each week.
They are now seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Executive to join their team. This is a key role within the operations function, providing support across procurement, supply chain, production, and administration. It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently.
The Role
The Operations Executive will work cross-functionally, supporting procurement, supplier management, inventory control, and wider team processes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Raising and managing purchase orders for ingredients, packaging, and consumables
* Tracking deliveries, liaising with suppliers on lead times, pricing, and product issues
* Maintaining accurate supplier records, certifications, and performance KPIs
* Monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, while minimising waste
* Managing procurement logs, delivery trackers, and internal data records
* Supporting invoice approvals and liaising with the Accounts team
* Researching suppliers and logistics options, preparing cost comparisons, and presenting recommendations
* Supporting new product launches, including communicating product specifications to production teams
* Ensuring accurate and consistent product listings and recipe content
* Coordinating with third-party logistics providers, resolving delivery discrepancies, and assisting with quality control documentation
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be:
* Organised, analytical, and a strong communicator
* Comfortable managing multiple priorities, suppliers, and deadlines
* Proactive in problem-solving and calm under pressure
* Confident working with spreadsheets, ERP systems, and other operational tools
* Keen to contribute ideas and improve processes
Desirable experience includes:
* A background in food, FMCG, logistics, or e-commerce
* Knowledge of procurement, supply chain, or operations
* Familiarity with sustainability, ethical sourcing, or food safety standards

Package
* Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
* Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
* Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
* Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
