Our Industrial Placement Programme:
As part of Bentley’s annual Early Careers intake, you’ll join a community of around 75 trainees including Industrial Placements, Graduates, and Apprentices.
During your placement, you’ll be based at our Bentley Campus "Dream Factory". Alongside hands-on work experience, you’ll also benefit from:

About the role:
As an Industrial Placement Student at Bentley, you will play a key part in Bentley’s journey to creating extraordinary vehicles for our customers. Based out of our state-of-the-art headquarters in Crewe, you will:
* Gain a hands-on experience at the heart of logistics and supplier performance,
* Develop skills in supply chain optimisation, problem solving, and stakeholder management,
* Learn how to drive supplier improvements, manage risks, and deliver real impact within a fast paced, collaborative environment,
* Have autonomy to design and develop Logistics improvement ideas and work them through to delivery.
Your main responsibilities include:
* Applying the Logistics cost recovery process through NCMS (Non-Conformance Management System) and exploring opportunities to develop processes further,
* Development of the process automation opportunities within Supply Chain Operations using applications like Tableau/Power BI,
* Working with other experts within the function, the digitalisation of new and existing performance metrics for the Logistics function, to be included in the PL KPI tree,
* Co-ordination of Supplier Development activities and readiness campaigns for the new and existing suppliers,
* Contributing to the continuous improvement projects.
About the Department:
The Logistics Supplier Development Team supports Bentley’s commitment to excellence by strengthening the performance and reliability of our logistics supply base. The team works closely with suppliers to ensure seamless material flow, robust delivery performance, and compliance with luxury automotive standards.
We combine industry expertise with data driven tools, to proactively monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, and mitigate risks across the supply chain. Our team plays a vital role in enabling supplier readiness for new model launches, responding to global challenges, and supporting future growth. This helps to build a resilient, agile, and sustainable network that reflects Bentley’s values of craftmanship and integrity.
Internally, the team is responsible for generating process improvements within the Logistics Operations function, to help make our colleagues’ roles as efficient as possible. This placement will offer you first-hand experience of internal and external automotive supply chain operations, whilst also helping you develop an understanding of automation techniques and Logistics standards.
What we are looking for:
The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in the following degrees: Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, Economics, Engineering, or Business Management.
Skills required for the role:
* Strong MS Office Skills,
* Knowledge of Dashboarding and Automation Techniques,
* Problem Solving Skills,
* Good Communication Skills,
* Ability to Demonstrate Initiative.
